Abstract: As a kind of intelligent material, the accurate exploration of the electrical properties of MR fluid is helpful to its effective utilization in related fields. In this work, the effects of magnetic field strength, positive pressure, particle size and volume fraction of magnetic particles on the resistance of magnetorheological fluids between parallel plates were studied, and the theoretical calculation method of magnetorheological fluid resistance between parallel plates was derived. The comparison between the experimental results and the theoretical results show that the method proposed in this paper has a strong feasibility and an accurate scope of application.
