Abstract: In this work, hydrothermal method was adopted to prepare dice-like and hex-pod-like cuprous oxide(Cu2O) microncrystals with multi-cavities via reduction of copper(II) acetate with glucose in water-ethanol alkaline solution, using oleic acid as capping agent and EDTA as chelating agent. Through controlling the dosage of NaOH, oleic acid and NaOH, Cu(OAc)2 and glucose, water/ethanol volume ratio, the morphology of Cu2O can be controlled respectively. Thus, cuprous oxide with dice or hexapod shape can be obtained.
