Abstract: During the integral forming process of carbon fiber reinforced polymer, the thermal mismatch between the forming tooling and the composite component, the deformation of the frame tooling and the temperature distribution will have a certain adverse impact on the curing deformation of the composite component. In this paper, the finite element analysis software of ABAQUS was used to analyze the influence of tooling structure on the curing deformation of a U-shaped composite from the perspective of tooling structure and mould material. For the three kinds of forming tool structures that were used widely in enterprises (inclined strut, column type and side plate), the temperature distribution of column type for-ming tool was more uniform in the process of curing, the curing deformation of composite parts was smaller. As to the material (include ordinary carbon steel, invar steel and composite materials) of the mould, the thermal expansion coefficient of composite mold was closer to that of the U-shaped structure parts, so the curing deformation of composite parts was less affected than the others.
