Study on Acrylic Homopolymer Strippable Film-forming Material for SurfaceDecontamination at Low Temperature

Abstract: In order to solve the technical problem of nuclear decontamination in low temperature environment, a new kind of low temperature film-forming detachable nuclear decontaminant was proposed. Acrylate homopolymer with high conversion and high molecular weight was prepared by solution polymerization of acrylic monomer. Based on the orthogonal test method, the orthogonal test of the effects of crosslinking agent, plasticizer, thickener, demoulding agent and other adjuvants on the decontamination performance of strippable nuclear detergent were carried out, and the optimal strippable formula was obtained. Then the infrared characteristics, glass transition temperature and polymerization of strippable nuclear decontaminant materials were studied through the test. The results show that the proposed low-temperature film-forming strippable radioactive decontamination agent can form film on concrete, sand, terrazzo, stainless steel and other surfaces, and it is easy to peel off. The decontamination rate of the material is more than 78%.
