Synthesis and Electrochemical Properties of Li-rich Mn-based Cathode Materials with Different nLi/nM Ratios

Abstract: Spherical Li-rich precursors were synthesized with NiSO4·6H2O, CoSO4·7H2O, and MnSO4·H2O as raw material and Na2CO3 as precipitant, the Li1.5Ni0.25Mn0.65Co0.1O2.5 Li-rich Mn-based cathode material was prepared by 1.00, 1.01, 1.02, 1.03, 1.04, 1.05 and 1.06 nLi/nM ratios with Li2CO3. The electrochemical performance test results show that the Li-rich cathode material with the nLi/nM ratio of 1.05 has excellent electrochemical performance and good cycle performance. Between 2.0 V and 4.8 V, the first discharge capacity at 0.1C rate is 276 mAh/g, and the capacity retention rate after 200 cycles at 1.0C rate is 83.7%.
