Abstract: In order to manufacture a high quality composite equipment of Al2O3 ceramics and 4J29 with φ400 mm in dimension, we should keep the joint with property of good sealability even when experiencing cold impact, hot impact and hot-cold-hot cycle impact test. Then the active metal brazing method and molybdenum-manganese (Mo-Mn) method are selected for comparison. The experiment was executed on the vacuum quenc-hing device of WZC-50 by reconstruction. Tests indicate that workpiece welded by active metal brazing method with Ag-Cu-Ti filler alloys performs the best air leakage rate of 5×10-8—5×10-10 Pa·m3/s,and poor ability in experiencing hot impact and cold impact test. Nevertheless, workpiece welded by Mo-Mn method are executed in such sequence: ceramics is prealloyed by Ag-Cu-Ti filler alloys firstly and then jointed with Kovar by Ag-Cu filler alloys. The best air leakage rate of this workpiece is 5×10-13 Pa·m3/s. It also has better performance in hot impact test, cold impact test and hot-cold-hot cycle impact test between -55 ℃ and 180 ℃ with equipment pressure≤0.09 MPa.In comparison, Workpiece of ceramic Al2O3 and Kovar alloy brazed by Mo-Mn method shows better sealing property, higher tensile strength and wider temperature range of hot and cold impact test result.
