Abstract: Some biopolymers in nature can isolate the surface of human skin from the outside world and protect the skin from external environmental stimulation due to their biocompatibility and non-toxic cells. Their modifiers and nanocomposites have different functions. At present, they are widely used in the field of medical wound dressing to protect skin from external bacteria, help the wound stop bleeding and promote wound healing. This review focuses on the application of biopolymers and their modified composites in the field of wound dressing in recent years and the development direction of wound dressing in the future.
