Abstract: In this work, the F-ICA was prepared by the condensation reaction of pentafluoroaniline and imidazole-2-carbaldehyde (ICA). F-ZIF-90 particles with different particle sizes were prepared by adjusting the molar ratio of F-ICA to Zn2+. And F-ZIF-90 particles were filled into PDMS to prepare mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) to separate ethanol by pervaporation. The experimental results show that F-ZIF-90 particles can effectively improve the hydrophobicity of the MMMs surface and reduce the diffusion energy barrier of ethanol, which strengthens the dissolution selectivity and the diffusion selectivity of ethanol molecules. The best pervaporation performance of F-ZIF-90/PDMS MMMs (40 ℃, 5% ethanol/water) is achieved with the permeation flux of 291 g/(m2·h) and the separation factor of 16.2 at 20wt% F-ZIF-90 loading with a diameter of 300—500 nm.
