Abstract: Anew type of low-cost, high-strength, high-strength steel was prepared by adding elements such as Cr, Ti, and Al to plain carbon steel. The seawater corrosion resistance of low-cost Al-Ti-Cr high-strength corrosion-resistant steel was studied by potential polarization, AC impe-dance, peripheral immersion corrosion test and salt spray accelerated corrosion test.The research results show that: Cr in steel can promote the transformation of rust layer to dense α-FeOOH. While Al and Ti provide anodic protection, Al produces dense Al2O3 dispersed on the surface of the rust layer to retard the corrosion of the corrosive medium to the substrate. Ti can be concentrated in the rust layer in dots or flakes, which can protect the intergranular corrosion and greatly improve the corrosion resistance of the corrosion-resistant steel.
