Abstract: The effects of three metal ion oxides of MgO, Al2O3 and CuO on the properties of calcium oxide expander clinker were studied. Compared with the non-doped metal ion oxides, CuO inhibited the performance of 3% metal ion oxides. Expansion agent clinker reaction rate, MgO basically has no effect on the expansion agent clinker reaction rate, and Al2O3 accelerates the expansion agent clinker reaction rate. Chemical analysis, XRD, and microcalorimetry were used to analyze the f-CaO content, mineral composition and hydration process of the expansion agent clinker. The results showed that the addition of CuO would inhibit the decomposition of CaCO3 in the raw meal into f-CaO, resulting in Expansion agent clinker has a low reaction rate; the addition of MgO and Al2O3 mainly occurs in the expansion agent clinker system, and the difference in Al3+ and Ca2+ valence causes defects in the system, which increases the expansion reaction rate.
