Abstract: In the case that the conversion efficiency of P-type crystalline silicon solar cells is approaching the limit, N-type crystalline silicon solar cells have begun to compete in the photovoltaic industry due to their long lifetime, low light-induced degradation, and high tolerance to metal pollution,and be the new wave of industrialization. At present, the N-type cells that have been studied more and achieved large-scale producted are mainly heterojunction cells (HJT cells) with good passivation effect, high open circuit voltage, and back contact cells (IBC cells) with large light recei-ving areas and high short-circuit current. The HIBC cells are superimposed cells that combines the structural advantages of HJT cells and IBC cells. They have the characteristics of high conversion efficiency, good light stability, low process temperature and thinner. However, since the HIBC cells are still in the research and development stage, they still need to overcome the core process technology; and their production cost is higher, and currently there are few industrial applications. However, as one of the new N-type solar cells, it is the direction and trend of high-efficiency cells development in the photovoltaic industry in the future.
