Review on Viscosity Testing Methods and Viscosity-Temperature Equations ofChalcogenide Glass Melts

Abstract: As an important physical property of chalcogenide glass,viscosity is an important parameter for glass making and application evaluation. This article reviewed the applicable scope and developing trend of various viscosity testing methods applied for chalcogenide glass-forming melts. In addition, several important viscosity-temperature equations for chalcogenide glass-forming melts, together with their accuracy, are summarized and analyzed. Finally, focusing on the investigations of viscosity-temperature relationships of chalcogenide glass-forming melts, some discussions and perspectives are given.
