Abstract: Due to the excellent electromagnetic properties, carbon-based electromagnetic wave absorbing nanocomposites have important applications in the field of national defense, people’s livelihood and so on. Combining with the research situation at home and abroad, the research progress of basic principles of electromagnetic wave absorbing materials, the absorbing mechanism and properties of carbon-based nanocomposites of conductor/conductor type and conductor/insulator type, and the development direction of carbon-based electromagnetic wave absorbing nanocomposites are summarized in this paper.
