Abstract: Marine biofouling has caused huge economic losses and serious problems to marine equipment and vessels, affecting their normal operation. Therefore, environmentally friendly anti-fouling technique has always been the focus of national research. The use of marine antifouling coa-tings can significantly resist the erosion of fouling organisms and has an effective anti-pollution cycle. In this paper, the most advanced antifouling techniques at home and abroad are tracked and investigated, and the self-polishing coatings, low surface energy coatings and biomimetic non-toxic coatings that represent the development direction of antifouling technique are mainly introduced. At last, the development prospects of antifouling technique are deeply discussed.
