Abstract: In winter, 85% of China's land area is affected by the phenomenon of ice condensing. The pavement condensing ice reduces the anti-slip coe-fficient of the road surface, which is very likely to cause traffic accidents and seriously affect people's production and life. In this study, by means of SEM, EDS, XRD and FT-IR micro-test methods, the surface morphology, element type and molecular structure of salt-storaged snow de-icing agent were analyzed. De-icing potential was measured using the freezing-lower point test and ice melting capacity tests on salt-storaged snow de-icing agent. The moisture susceptibility of the asphalt mixture containing salt-storaged snow de-icing agent was evaluated by freeze-thaw splitting test, which combined with micro-test method to analyze the important reasons affecting the moisture susceptibility. The results of microscopic analysis indicate that the main anti-condensation ice component of the salt-storaged snow de-icing agent is NaCl and also contains other organic substances. The porous surface helps the release of NaCl and the surrounding water vapor. The salt-storaged de-icing agent reduces the freezing point. The effect is obvious and the ice melting effect is better. Because the salt solution of the anti-condensation component NaCl dissolved in water is more likely to wet the aggregate and the precipitation of NaCl causes the void ratio of the mixture to increase, the larger dynamic and salt together reduces its water stability, but still meets the specifications.
