Abstract: For the vibration failure of the grinding wheel during grinding, the carbon fiber grinding wheel base of the combined grinding wheel is analyzed by using the finite element analysis software ANSYS APDL for the inherent modal analysis in the stationary state and the pre-stressed modal analysis in the rotating state. From the comparative analysis, it can be seen that the prestress produced by centrifugal force has little effect on the inherent mode of the grinding wheel base. In the design of the combined grinding wheel structure, it is possible to avoid the resonance damage caused by the closeness of the external vibration frequency to the natural frequency. The results of modal analysis can provide data refe-rence for the improved design of the grinding wheel structure and the analysis of further dynamic characteristics.
