Abstract In order to study the high temperature rheological properties of polyphosphoric acid (PPA)/SBS composite modified asphalt, dynamic shear rheometer (DSR) was used to test four kinds of composite modified asphalt and SBS modified asphalt with different dosage of PPA by repeated creep recovery test (RCRT). The results show that: the deformation recovery capacity of PPA/SBS composite modified asphalt is not affected by the number of loading cycles and stress level, but is affected by temperature, and the viscous flow deformation mainly occurs in the creep stage, and the viscous deformation cannot be restored after unloading. The cumulative strain of PPA/SBS composite modified asphalt increases significantly with the increase of temperature, stress level and load action times, especially the temperature and stress level have a great influence on the cumulative strain of modified asphalt. Under the condition of the same temperature and stress level, the adhesive part G_v value of creep stiffness of composite modified asphalt with PPA 1%+SBS 3% is the largest and has the best high temperature deformation resistance.
