Editorial Board Spotlight: Professor Yuhua Wang

Professor Yuhua Wang, Lanzhou University
Professor Yuhua Wang is a professor at the School of Materials and Energy, Lanzhou University. He is the first Tibetan Ph.D. in engineering to study abroad and a renowned expert in inorganic luminescent materials. He serves on the Eighth Editorial Board of Materials Reports.
Professor Wang earned his Ph.D. from Tohoku University in Japan, where he pioneered research on phosphors for plasma displays and mercury-free fluorescent lamps. He returned to Lanzhou University in 2001, establishing a prominent research group focused on functional and environmental materials. His team conducts cutting-edge research on photoconversion materials for lighting, displays, solar cells, and plant growth.
Throughout his career, Professor Wang has published over 300 papers in leading international journals and secured more than 30 national patents. He is deeply committed to mentoring young scientists and fostering international collaboration. His dedication to education is further exemplified by his establishment of a scholarship fund to support promising students.
