Slag of Solidified Waste Incineration Fly Ash Used as Mineral Admixture and Its Safety Analysis |

Abstract Municipal solid waste incineration fly ash (MSWI fly ash) because it contains a lot of heavy metals is a hazardous solid waste, and utilization of MSWI fly ash affects the leaching content of heavy metals. Simulation of part of the MSWI fly ash was solid-melt by blast-furnace slag in the molten state, the melt water quenching after gelation and security when used for mineral admixture were studied. Results show that the solid solution material of calcination temperature 1 200 ℃ and 40% (mass fraction) of fly ash dosage have the top cementitious reactivity. SEM-EDS show that the heavy metals in the hydration products and C-S-H has strong capacity of adsorption and packages heavy metals. ICP results show that leaching concentration of heavy metals is very low. The resources use of solid solution materials can eliminate their adverse impact on the environment.
