Abstract Since metal was widely used in various fields, its corrosion problem has troubled people and constantly threatened people's life and property safety. Compared with the methods such as environmental treatment and electrochemical protection, anti-corrosive film and organic anti-corrosive coating can be directly covered on the metal surface, which are more convenient to use. Thus, they have been widely concerned and applied. Because of its excellent space barrier performance, two-dimensional nanomaterials can not only be used for the preparation of anti-corrosive films with good anti-permeability, but also can be used as fillers to add organic anti-corrosive coatings for making up the defects caused in the curing process of resins. Therefore, two-dimensional nanomaterials have been widely used in the field of metal corrosion protection in recent years. At present, graphene, boron nitride, layered double hydroxide, molybdenum disulfide and montmorillonite are the main two-dimensional nano fillers used in the field of metal corrosion protection. Based on the literature at home and abroad, the properties of two-dimensional layered nanomaterials and their applications in anti-corrosive films and organic anti-corrosive coatings are reviewed in this paper.
