Performance of Latex Gloves and the Choice of Latex Gloves to Wear |

Abstract Natural rubber gloves have a long history of applying as protective equipment, however, the related products still face performance weaknesses and risks of allergy which restrict their further application. The development of the petroleum industry has promoted the dynamic growth of synthetic and artificial rubber gloves, such as nitrile, neoprene, butyl and polyisoprene latex gloves with specific properties. Herein, the purpose of this paper is to provide comprehensive insights into natural rubber gloves, synthetic rubber gloves and artificial rubber gloves to provide references on the selection of rubber gloves under various situations.

About author:: Zhifeng Li is currently an engineer in the Agricultural Product Processing Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences. He focuses on industrialized production and applied research of natural rubber products. He has engaged in high-performance latex products for many years and accumulated rich practical experience in rubber latex products. He has presided and participated in several province departmental level projects, published 18 scientific papers and 4 invention patents,three of them have been authorised.Jinlong Tao is currently an associate professor in the Agricultural Product Processing Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences. He received his Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry from Jilin University in 2012 and accomplished postdoctoral research at Deakin University in 2016—2018. His research interest is natural rubber-based functional mate-rials. He has presided four province departmental level projects and published more than 20 papers. |
