(Si+Mn)/Fe对Al-5Cu合金铸态组织及力学性能的影响

Abstract The effect of mass ratio of (Si+Mn)/Fe(K=3, 4, 5 and 6) on the As-cast microstructure and mechanical properties of Al-5Cu-0.3Fe high-strength cast alloy were studied by OM, SEM, EDS and DSC. The results show that the evolution order of the Fe-rich intermetallic morphology is needle-like, Chinese script, aggregated Chinese script with the increase of K value, and the Fe-rich intermetallic in the alloy changes from needle-like Al₃FeMn to Chinese-script Al₆FeMn. In Al-5.0Cu-0.3Fe-1Si-xMn alloys, the mechanical properties of the alloy with K=4 are the best, and the better plastic characteristics are also shown on the fracture surface of the alloy. Compared with K=3, the ultimate tensile strength and elongation of the alloy are increased by 22% and 65%, respectively. Si and Mn have a good modification effect on the Fe-rich intermetallic of Al-5.0Cu-0.3Fe alloy. Appropriate reduction of Mn addition in Al-5Cu alloy and further increase of Si content Maintain (Si+Mn)/Fe=4, is helpful to reduce the porosity of the alloy, better regulate the morphology of Fe-rich phase and reduce the thermal cracking sensitivity of the alloy.
