Research on Acid Corrosion Resistance Properties of Basic Magnesium Sulfate Cement |

Abstract In order to study acid corrosion resistance properties of basic magnesium sulfate cement with different ratios, the mass variation, flexural strength and compressive strength of cement sample were texted at different curing age after immersing in water and citric acid solution. The phase composition and microstructure of hydration products after immersing in the two solutions were analyzed by XRD and SEM. The experimental results show that the addition of slag and fly ash can decrease the porosity and fine the pore size in the hardened paste. Thus the microstructure of cement samples becomes more compact and preventing the corrosion substance effectively. Due to these effects, basic magnesium sulfate cement with slag and fly ash has higher acid corrosion resis-tance than that without slag and fly ash. Moreover, the acid corrosion resistance of basic magnesium sulfate cement with slag is superior to that with fly ash.
