Synthesis,Characterization and Properties of Polytitanium(octyl)siloxane |

Abstract The polytitanium(octyl)siloxane was synthesized by direct polymerization method. The structures and Mn of the polytitanium(octyl)siloxane were analyzed by FT-IR,1H-NMR and GPC;the OH-groups were investigated by chemical titration; the properties were texted by dynamic viscometer and TGA. Furthermore,the influencing factors such as reaction temperature and time,solvent type and silicon/titanium molar ratio on yield were also systematically studied. The results show that the polytitanium(octyl)siloxane was successfully synthesized with the yield of about 85%, and the product not only has good liquidity (125 Pa·s,50 ℃),but also the thermal decomposition temperature increases from 370 ℃ to about 448 ℃,and the char yield is 39% at 800 ℃.

About author:: Qingbin Li, graduate student of Dalian Maritime University. In 2016, he graduated from Dalian Polytechnic University with a bachelor's degree in materials science and engineering. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in materials engineering at Dalian Maritime University. His research interests are preparation and application of liquid fluororubber organic polytitaniumsiloxane polymer.Mingyi Liaoobtained his B. E. degree in polymer chemical technology from the Dalian Institute of Technology and Ph. D. degree in chemistry from the Russian Moscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technology in 1988—1993. He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor. He has implemented 15 projects of National Natural Science Foundation,the International Science&Technology Cooperation Program of China, Intergovernmental cooperation projects of the ministry of science and technology, etc. He has published more than 170 academic papers and 2 textbooks: Science of Synthetic Polymer Materials and Polymer Structure and Performance, applied 30 national invention patents. His research interests are rubber synthesis, preparation and application of liquid fluororubber,preparation of polymer/Inorganic nanocomposite and so on. |
