Effect of Cold Rolling Deformation on Aging Precipitation Behavior and Mechanical Properties of 2A14 Aluminum Alloy High Cylinder Ring |

Abstract In order to find out the influence of cold rolling process on the microstructure and properties of 2A14 aluminum alloy high cylinder ring, this paper carried out the cold rolling deformation process experiment of aluminum alloy deformation samples. The effects of cold rolling deformation on aging precipitation behavior and mechanical properties of 2A14 aluminum alloy high cylinder ring were studied by stretching, OM, SEM, DSC and TEM. The results showed that the dislocation density of the alloy increases after cold rolling deformation, which was beneficial to the nucleation, precipitation and growth of the θ′ phase. The precipitation of θ′ phase reduced the concentration of copper atoms and inhibits the precipitation of Q′ phase. When the cold rolling reduction was 4%, a large number of fine-dispersed θ′ phase and Q′ phases were precipitated in the matrix,and the material had the best comprehensive performance. The tensile strength, yield strength and elongation were 490.3 MPa, 428 MPa and 13.76% respectively.
