Comparison of Chromium Plating Standards for RCC-M F5100 and AMS 2460 Applied to Nuclear Island Main Equipment |

Abstract Some parts of nuclear island main equipment are under high temperature and high pressure. In order to ensure the service life of these parts, hard chromium shall be plated on the wear-resistant surface and bite-proof surface. The reference documents for hard chromium plating on such parts are RCC-M F5100 or AMS 2460. There are some differences between the two standards for chromium plating and coating examination. By comparing the differences of chromium plating and coating testing between the two standards, this paper provides a reference for the establishment of chromium plating standard for nuclear island main equipment.
