Since its launch in 1987, Materials Reports has established itself as a unique academic journal in China's materials science community, distinguished by its focus on review articles. Published by Chongqing Southwest Information Co., Ltd., the journal is dedicated to reporting developments in materials science, tracking national policies, and reviewing research progress and industrialization advancements.

Membership is open to laboratories, research groups, institutes, enterprises, and individuals engaged in materials research and development.
