Abstract In this work, heatproof grain-oriented silicon steel sheet were analyzed, the effect of annealing temperature on coating characteristics was studied, and the effects of complex working conditions and tensile stress and compressive stress on the magnetic properties of the sheet were explored. The results show that the coating adhesion of heatproof grain-oriented silicon steel sheet was grade C and grade D. The coating consists of insulating coating and magnesium silicate, and magnesium silicate layer in the scoring area is seriously damaged. Annealing has no obvious effect on the surface insulation resistance of heatproof grain-oriented silicon steel coating, but affects the adhesion of the coating. The insulation coating on the surface of heat-resistant oriented silicon steel strip don’t have heat resistance. Over excitation and DC bias have more obvious effects on loss, noise and magnetostriction than harmonic. Pressure stress has an adverse effect on magnetic properties and noise of heatproof grain-oriented silicon steel, while within limits tensile stress can reduce the loss and without affecting noise.
