Abstract In recent years, the research on the high-performance Cu-Ni alloys have become a focus due to their excellent properties. In this paper, recent research progress of some high-strength and toughened Cu-Ni alloys has been reviewed, with emphasis on discussion of the strengthening and toughening behavior and the associated mechanisms. Finally, the development trend of high -strength and toughened Cu-Ni alloys, especially multi-principal component high strength Cu-Ni alloy is given.

About author:: Chengyan Jin received his B.E. Degree in Material Science and Control Engineering from Shenyang Aerospace University in 2019. He is currently a graduate student in the School of Materials Science and Engineering from Shenyang Aerospace University, under the supervision of Prof. Xinghao Du. At present, the main research field is high performance and high entropy alloy.
Xinghao Du received his B.E. degree in material from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1990 and received his Ph.D. degree in material from the Harbin Institute of Technology, in 2002. He is currently a full professor in Shenyang Aerospace University. His research interests are development of multi-principal component alloys with high mechanical properties and development of high temperature structural materials.
