Effect of RuO2-doping on the Electrical Properties of Mn1.4Co1.5Zn0.1 Ceramics |

Abstract Using Mn1.4Co1.5Zn0.1 as the staring materials,RuO2 as the dopants,xwt%RuO2(x=0,3,6,9,12,15)+Mn1.4Co1.5Zn0.1 NTC(negative temperature coefficient) thermistors were prepared by the solid-state reaction method.The microstructure and electric properties of the thermistors were studied. The results show that NTC thermistor with low resistivity and high B vaule can be obtained by doping RuO2. The B value and resistivity decrease rapidly with the increase of RuO2 doping amount.With the increase of sintering temperature,the resistivity decreases first and then increase, while the B value increase slowly.The sample shows a good NTC behavior when the sintering temperature is 1 130 ℃ and RuO2 doping amount is 15wt%,and its B value and ρ25 are 3 012 K and 32 Ω·cm .
