Analysis of the Patent Layout of the Whole Life Cycle Reduction Technology of Automobiles and Typical Components |

Abstract The article analyzes the ecological design, material selection and recycling system construction related technology patent layout of automobiles and typical components via Incopat, with the purpose to clarify the development trend of the whole life cycle reduction technology of automobiles and typical components. The analysis results show that the current technological development in this field is gradually becoming mature; all countries in the world have shifted their research focus to new-powered vehicles from the perspective of ecological design, and the research on technology directions is relatively balanced; the current patent application trend in China is basically consistent with the world, but it is not yet mature in terms of technological industrialization development. To resolve the above-mentioned issues, we should make the following improvements: First, make use of the patent standardization strategy to help the patent layout, thus reducing the replacement cost and replace cost of removable parts, by which companies become the leader in the relevant technology market. Second, adjust the patent layout in a timely manner according to the development of competitors, thus avoiding to repeat the existing research and development routes of others, and taking advantage of their own advantages. Third, strengthen independent technology research and development capabilities, provide intellectual property support to expanding emerging markets. Fourth, strengthen the collaborative innovation between innovation subjects, thus solving the issues of high cost, long cycle, and high risk of new energy technology innovation. Fifth, to make full use of the patent alliance strategy to increase the bargaining power and comprehensive competition of enterprises strength.

About author:: Dengcai Yang, associate researcher/master supervisor, is currently the deputy director of the Institute of Science and Technology Development of Beijing University of Technology, and the executive dean of Beijing Intellectual Property Institute. Winner of “New Talents” of Beijing University of Technology and “Young Talents” of Beijing. He obtained a bachelor's degree from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2001; a master's degree from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2004; and a doctorate degree from Beijing University of Technology in 2014. He has been engaged in scientific research management and related research for many years. Presided over and participated in the completion of nearly 10 provincial and national level projects. Published academic papers in journals such as Chinese University Science and Technology, Heilongjiang Higher Education Research, and Beijing Education. Ziqin Liu is a lecturer in Beijing University of Techno-logy. He received his B.L. degree in law and M.L degree in civil & commercial law from Sun Yat-Sen University in Sep.2006—Jul.2012 and Ph.D. degree in intellectual property law from China University of Political Science and Law in Sep.2012—Jul.2015. He was engaged in postdoctoral research in Beijing Academy of Social Science and Chinese Academy of Social Science in Sep.2015—Nov.2017. From Oct.2016—Jan.2018, he studied and researched in Fordham University Law School as a visiting scholar. He has published 7 journal papers as the first author, and participated in a number of national and provincial & ministerial research projects. His main research interests are IP law, IP and antitrust law, and IP management. He has gained the Prize of National University Student Copyright Essay (Graduate Group) and the Excellent Paper Award of the National Intellectual Property Young Scholar Essay Competition of the China IP Law Research Association. |
