Influencing Factors of Raw Material Nb2O5 to Transmittance of H-ZF High Refractive Index Glass |

Abstract To control the product quality of environmentally friendly heavy flint glass effectively, meet the requirements for high transmittance of high-definition optical system, we analyzed the crystalline forms, particle sizes, types and content of trace impurities of raw material Nb2O5 through comparing manufacturing processes.Nb2O5 was the unique changed component in environmentally friendly heavy flint glass. We discussed the coloring mechanism of raw material Nb2O5 to this type glass, and discovered that trace impurity Sb2O3 content in raw material Nb2O5 was the principle factor on glass transmittance. Therefore, controlling the total Sb2O3 content in this type glass can improve product transmittance and stabilize production.

About author:: Xiangping Hu, the leader of technical innovation in NORTH ELECTRO-OPTICS GROUP CO., LTD, received the title of senior engineer at a level of research worker in Dec. 2014. She was honored “May 1st labour Medal” of Xiangyang in 2018, and Outstanding Middle-aged Expert of Hubei province in 2019. She received the master's degree of electric engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2007. Moreover, she is the key authorized personnel of 1 local standard, 6 national standards and 3 international standards. She obtained the third prize of Technological Progress Award of Hubei province one time, the first prize of Technological Progress Award of CHINA NORTH INDUSTRIES GROUP CORPO-RATION LIMITED of 3 times and the second prize 3 times. Her research interests focus on the development of new special optical materials with national concentration, and the formulating of recipe, fundamental theory & application of manufacturing process & property control. She has participated in and completed a number of national and provincial projects. |
