Abstract In this paper, graphene was prepared from flake graphite by Hummer method. Silver nanoparticles were loaded on graphene by a method of in situ reduction. The silver-loaded graphene material was mixed with epoxy resin to form silver-loaded graphene/epoxy resin composite with excellent performance. This property should be due to the combinative of these three materials. At the same time, the effects of blending ratios of silver-loaded graphene on the properties of the composite were researched, including tensile strength and elongation at break. The results show that the composite exhibited best enhancement effectiveness of tensile strength when the mass percentage is 0.05%. The best strengthening effect of elongation at break were obtained when the mass percentage is 0.1%. By researching of curing temperature, it was found that the optimized scheme of the curing temperature is 100 ℃ with the addition of 0.05%. Contemporary, the thermal decomposition of the modified composite can be slowed down effectively. That is, the thermal stability of epoxy resin was enhanced.

About author:: Shumin Chen received her Ph.D. degree in condensed matter physics from Shanghai University in June, 2016. She was appointed to the faculty upon graduation, and is currently a lecturer of the Jingchu University of Technology. She has given her careers to studying low-dimensional nanomaterial and its application. She handled five projects, including the research programs under the department of education of Hubei Province (No. Q20174303), the Research and Development Project of Jingmen Science (No. 2018YFYB052), et al. She has published more than 10 journal papers as the first author, 9 of them are SCI. She has applied 3 national invention patents. Her research interests focus on the advanced functional materials and their application in new energy. She has attended an international academic conference and some domestic academic conferences. She has guided the university student innovation and entrepreneurship training programs of national and provincial. |
