Analysis of Standard Maintenance of the Road Polymer Stabilized Crushed Stone |

Abstract The road polymer stabilized crushed stone base layer is different from the inorganic binder base stabilized materials, and its strength and integrity are mainly achieved by the polymer bonded crushed stone material after evaporation of water during the curing period. This work deals with vibrating polymer crushed stone base-stabilized samples. The change between water content and structural strength of the material under different conditions of curing are analysed. Based on this, the curing period standard that meets the road performance requirements is proposed, which can be used as the engineering application basis for the road polymer stabilized crushed stone base.

About author:: Xintian Zhang obtained his M. E. degree from the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. He is the head of the excellent course “Subgrade and Pavement Engineering” of the Ministry of Construction, a national supervision engineer, a council member of the China Highway Society, and an honorary director of the Beijing Highway Society. In 1992, he graduated from Harbin Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture, and later taught at Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. His main research interests are roadbed structure and material optimization technology and engineering methods. He has been engaged in the teaching of civil engineering roads and bridges for many years, and has presided over 4 national scientific and technological research projects and provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects, and more than 10 other research projects. He has compiled 7 works such as “Highway Engineering Quality Management System” and 3 “Technical Standards for Maintenance of Urban Road Engineering” and published more than 30 journal papers. Xinhang Yao received his B.E. degree in civil engineering from the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture in Sep. 2013—June 2017. He has been rated as outstanding student for many years, and has won several university third-class scholarship. |
