Study on Vegetation Restoration Structure and Material Properties of High andSteep Rock Slopes |

Abstract In the construction of mountain roads, there will be a large number of excavation methods leading to vegetation damage and the production of engineering waste residue. In order to carry out long-lasting and effective vegetation restoration on high and steep rock slopes and make full use of engineering waste residue, this paper proposes a new combination structure and materials. The jet mixture base layer, the soil layer and the plant layer are combined. The base layer of the jet mixture consists of three parts: planting soil, engineering waste residue and cementing mate-rial. Soil Mulch Binder is added to the soil layer to improve the integrity and stability of the soil. The plant layer mixes the seeds with the Erosion Control Matrix. The combined structure is combined with the high-steep rock slope to achieve structural stability and anti-scour ability, improve the water retention of the structure, improve the germination rate, and meet the vegetation restoration durability under adverse environmental conditions.

About author:: Qunli Lan received her B.E. degree in civil enginee-ring from the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture in Sept. 2013—June 2017. She won the title of “Outstanding Graduate” from Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture and was awarded as an outstanding graduate of Beijing. Her undergra-duate graduation design “Pang’an Road Road Enginee-ring Design” won the 2017 school-level undergraduate excellent graduation design (thesis), has been rated as outstanding students for many years, and has won several national inspiratio-nal scholarships. She is responsible for the completion of the scientific research project “Research on the technology of road slag reinforcement and green restoration”. Xintian Zhang obtained his M.E. degree from the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. He is the head of the excellent course “Subgrade and Pavement Engineering” of the Ministry of Construction, a national supervision engineer, a council member of the China Highway Society, and an honorary director of the Beijing Highway Society. In 1992, he graduated from Harbin Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture, and later taught at Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. His main research interests are roadbed structure and material optimization technology and engineering methods. He has been engaged in the teaching of civil engineering roads and bridges for many years, and has presided over 4 national scientific and technological research projects and provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects, and more than 10 other research projects. He has compiled 7 works such as “Highway Engineering Quality Management System” and 3 “Technical Standards for Maintenance of Urban Road Engineering” and published more than 30 journal papers. |
