Research Progress of Rolling Edge Crack of Magnesium Alloy Sheet |

Abstract The edge cracks seriously affect the formability of magnesium alloy sheet in rolling production, and can not be ignored in magnesium alloy rol-ling. It is necessary to study the generation mechanism and damage model of magnesium alloy rolling edge crack to achieve accurate da-mage analysis of edge crack. Although there are many researches have been published on the analysis model of magnesium alloy edge crack damage, there are few papers summarizing the available data. In this summary, the mechanism of edge crack damage in magnesium alloy rolling is briefly described. The research progress of the definition and formation, the influencing factors, the damage control of edge crack damage are analyzed. The analysis models of magnesium alloy rolling edge crack damage based on continuum damage mechanics, continuous damage mechanics and mesoscopic damage mechanics are summarized, which provides reference for improving the theoretical system of magnesium alloy rolling process and improving the rolling process of magnesium alloy. Finally, the existing problems in the research of edge crack damage of magnesium alloy rolling are pointed out, and the future research direction is prospected.
