Processing Technology and Structure Design of Passenger Car Seat Materials |

Abstract With the improvement of urbanization rate, the per travel time generally increases. The interior space of the car has become the ‘third space’ for users in addition to home and work scenes. Passenger car seat is the part with the longest contact time and the most closely related degree with human body, which is also an essential part of the vehicle performance improvement. As a key component to ensure personal safety and provide a good riding experience, it is of great significance to improve safety and comfort for the research on the structure and material of passenger car seat. With the application of new materials and the development of processing technology, the comprehensive performance of passenger car seats has been greatly improved. In this paper, it has first systematically introduced the material and processing technology of passenger car seats while listing the basic structure and material evolution of passenger car seats. The paper has combined with surveying, human physiology and materials sciences and established a connection between the structure, material and modeling of passenger car seats to interrelate the structural design, material selection and the comprehensive performance of passenger car seat safety and comfort. Finally, it is concluded that CFRP has strong rigidity, plasticity and fatigue resistance value through simulation calculation. It has smaller density than that of traditional materials which will be the key research material of passenger car seat light weight in the future.
