Abstract The phase relations of the Co-Ni-W ternary system have been experimentally established for the isothermal section at 1 000 ℃, 1 200 ℃. The investigation was based on metallography, X-ray powder diffraction, SEM and EMPA-techniques. Based on the experimental results from this work and literatures, the Co-Ni-W ternary system was thermodynamically assessed by using CALPHAD (Computer coupling of phase diagrams) method. The calculated results agree well the experimental data.

| About author:: Cuiping Wang, distinguished professor of Xiamen University, doctoral supervisor. In December 1994, she went to study at Tohoku University in Japan. In March 1998, she completed her master degree in the Department of Materials Science at Tohoku University. In March 2001, she received a doctorate in engineering from Tohoku University. From April 2001 to March 2004, she was a researcher at Tohoku University. Since April 2004, she has served as a professor and doctoral tutor at Xiamen University. Since January 2006, she has become a distinguished professor of Xiamen University. Member of the Phase Diagram Professional Committee of the Chinese Physical Society and executive director of the National Materials New Technology Development Research Association. She was a member of the Youth Committee of the China Society for Materials Research. She has successively presided over the special project of International Science and Technology Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the International Cooperation Project between the Japan Science and Technology Promotion Agency and Xiamen University, the Science and Technology Key Project of the Ministry of Education, the Doctoral Fund of the Ministry of Education, and the Xiamen Science and Technology Plan Project. As a research backbone, she participated in the research work of the key research and development plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the 863 project, the 973 project, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. At the same time, she has carried out a number of companies such as China Aviation Industry Corporation. Cooperation projects such as Anshan Iron and Steel Group. She has published more than 300 papers in academic journals such as Science, Scientific Reports, Phys. Rev. Lett., Appl. Phys. Lett., among which more than 260 papers have been included in SCI. Since 2005, she has obtained 3 Japanese invention patents and Chinese inventions. 34 patentswere granted. Received 9 awards from academic institutions at home and abroad. In 2002, the first author published a paper in the internationally renowned academic journal Science. Received the third prize of Fujian Province Technology Invention, the inventor of Fujian Province, the APDIC Best Paper Award, the International Metals Organization Competition Honor Award, the Japan Metal Society Technology Development Award, the Japan Metal Society Metals Organization Award, and the Japan Copper Alloy Association Excellent Paper Award And other awards. |
