Simulation Study on the Accelerated Corrosion of Zn Coating in Splash Zone |

Abstract Simulation of arc spraying Zn coating in splash zone of marine corrosion environment was investigated by RM-1 marine accelerated corrosion test and continuous neutral salt spray test. Acceleration shift factor and grey relational space analysis were adopted to study the simulation and acceleration of the arc spraying Zn coating in two marine accelerated corrosion test systems. The results show that the corrosion environment of splash zone can be simulated by two test systems, but the effect of RM-1 marine acce-lerated corrosion test is better. However, the most serious corrosion of Zn coating is in the continuous neutral salt spray test, which means it is excellent in corrosion acceleration.
