Preparation and Photocatalytic Properties of Flaky Zn3(OH)2V2O7·2H2O |

Abstract Zn3(OH)2V2O7·2H2O was synthesized by hydrothermal method using hexahydrate zinc nitrate and ammonium metavanadate as inorganic source and cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide as surfactant. The effects of the concentration of surfactant on the structure and properties of Zn3(OH)2V2O7·2H2O pyrovanadate were investigated. The products were characterized by XRD and SEM, and the photocatalytic activity of methylene blue was investigated. The flaky Zn3(OH)2V2O7·2H2O has the best photocatalytic activity, and the degradation rate of MB is about 98% after 140 min irradiation.
