Abstract In order to comprehensively grasp the birth background, application status and development prospects of foamed cement panel, the application background, market demand, technical standard evolution, overall performance, comprehensive cost, application status, and development prospects are analyzed comprehensively. It is concluded that although the foamed cement panel has the advantages of heat insulation, fire protection (grade A1), environmental protection, anti-aging and high strength, its research and development barriers are low, and the bad phenomena such as inferior product prevalence and vicious competition of manufacturers are serious, resulting in the market accommodation space has been very narrow. This review provides the latest realistic scientific basis for building practitioners to comprehensively understand the ‘coming and going’ and master real-time dynamics of foamed cement panel, and provide more theoretical scientific basis for researchers to develop a new building insulation material.
