Influence of Welding Sequence on Welding Residual Stress of Tubular Large Thickness V-joint |

Abstract In large-scale industrial structure, the application of heavy thickness steel is more and more extensive. Because of the complexity of the structure, it is inevitable that there will be fusion welding connection between components. For the heavy thickness structure, multi-layer multi pass welding is usually used, and the welding process selection of multi-layer multi pass welding is unreasonable or the welding sequence selection of multi weld is not right, which will result in the local residual area of the welding structure. Too much stress or welding residual deformation will affect the service time of the structure. In order to obtain the optimal welding process and the distribution of residual stress, the nonlinear finite element software Marc was used to analyze the influence of welding residual stress field of tubular thick V-joint from the point of the welding sequence of the multi-layer welding and verified by the actual test results. The results show that in the process of multi-layer welding, symmetrical welding method is used to obtain the welding residual stress field and the residual stress of the inner weld is greater than that of the outer weld.

More than 10 papers have been published by the first or correspondent authors in academic journals at home and abroad. One national invention patent and three utility model patents have been autho-rized. The research work mainly focuses on the application of mechanical analysis and testing of composite materials, presides over the project of Liaoning Provincial Department of Education, Shenyang Liming Aeroengine Co., Ltd. of China Airlines, and participates in the projects of National Natural Science Foundation, National Defense 863 sub-projects, Liaoning Provincial Department of Education, etc. |
