Abstract This article introduces the development history, working principle, and key factors that affect the stability of the light absorption layer of the perovskite thin film. From the perspective of environmental friendliness of the life cycle process of battery preparation, application, and recycling, the research progress of tightly packaging technology of the solar cell, recycling of toxic elements of the waste solar cell, and the deve-lopment of lead-free perovskite films has been reviewed. The development trend of perovskite solar cells for sustainable use and low environmental cost has been further discussed.
