Abstract Perovskite solar cells have made remarkable progress in photovoltaic field due to their high photoelectric conversion efficiency (PCE) and low cost. However, poor stability is one of the main factors restricting their commercial application, mainly due to the poor stability of perovskite materials and charge transport materials. In this paper, perovskite solar cells based on all inorganic charge transport layer were fabricated, and the PCE of device was improved by introducing F2HCNQ doped PTAA to modify NiO_x/perovskite interface and C₆₀ to modify perovskite/SnO₂ interface. Especially, the work function and conductivity of PTAA were significantly improved by doping novel F2HCNQ, resulting in enhanced open circuit voltage and fill factor. Perovskite solar cells based on the inorganic charge transport layers achieved 17.52% PCE, and good stability with the PCE maintained above 85% after 500 h storage at humidity of 20%—40% and temperature of 25℃.

Han Chen, associate professor, Shanghai Jiaotong University. In 2005, he began researching in electrochemistry at Fukui University in Japan, and received a Ph.D. in electrochemistry in 2010. In 2010, he began research on organic/inorganic solar cells at the National Institute of Materials Research in Japan. Since 2012, he has been engaged in organic/inorganic solar cells research at the School of Materials Science and Enginee-ring, Shanghai Jiaotong University. His main research work includes the working mechanism of new solar cells, the development of new materials and large-area film-making methods, and the production of high-efficiency devices. He has published more than 40 SCI academic papers in internationally renowned journals such as Nature, Science, Joule, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, and Energy and Environmental Science and applied for 38 Chinese invention patents in which 18 items authorized.
