Abstract The kinetic study in the process of droplet evaporation has a certain guiding effect on improving the quality of inkjet printing and pesticide spraying. In this work, the angled instrument was used to record and compare the evaporation process of deionized water droplets and droplets of alumina nanofluids with a concentration of 0.05% and particle size of 10 nm at 30 ℃ and 40 ℃. It includes the variation of three-phase line, contact angle and droplet profile with time during droplet evaporation. The experimental results show that the droplet evaporation behavior is significantly different after the addition of nanoparticles: in the first stage of evaporation, the three-phase line fixation time is longer, and the number of stick-slip movements of the three-phase line is reduced.
