Abstract In order to grasp the deformation law of concrete under the temperature variation during steam curing, and ameliorate the volume stability of steam cured concrete, an improved non-contact concrete deformation test system was employed to study the total deformation and autogenous deformation of concrete with various compositions during heating, thermostatic and cooling process. And then the impacts of mineral admixtures, nano-particles and super absorbent polymers on concrete deformation during steam curing were analyzed. The results indicated that the deformation of concrete in steam curing process exhibited three stages, namely rapid expansion deformation in heating period, slow reduction of expansion deformation in 60 ℃ thermostatic period and sharp reduction of expansion deformation in cooling period. Compared to the standard curing, there was a significant increase in autogenous shrinkage deformation rate of concrete under steam curing condition. The factors that could exert an obvious influence on expansion and autogenous shrinkage of concrete during steam curing include water-cement ratio, doping of fly ash, slag, nano-silica and super absorbent polymer.
